Filipino Cultural Association
The Filipino Cultural Association (FCA) is a student-run organization formed in 1978 designed to increase awareness of Filipino-American culture as well as strengthen the unity among its members through cultural, academic, athletic, and social programs. The mission of the Filipino Cultural Association is to promote awareness and education of Filipino-American culture for the University of Maryland community. In accordance with the organization's mission, FCA has brought together its members, the Asian American Studies Department, and the local Filipino American community to help develop the Filipino American Studies Program.
